how to fix Exception code: 0xc0000005

i am having an issue with a few different apps suddenly crashing to desktop with the error code 0xc0000005.

according to the event log event ID's 4624 and 4672 run and then the apps immediately close.

i have tested the RAM with the built in memory diagnostic tool and MemTest86.

checked and updated all drivers from the appropriate websites.

ran sfs /scannow

tried disabling DEP

clean installed windows on different SSD / NVME drives

replaced the RAM

replaced the motherboard

ran the DISM commands

increased pagefile size

changed page file to system managed

tried turning off/ on expo

updated chipsets

hardware as follows

Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7

AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

Corsair CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36-44-44-96 1.35V AMD EXPO Intel XMP 3.0 Computer Memory CMK32GX5M2E6000Z36

Gigabye Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB

Samsung SSD 990 EVO Plus 2TB

Hi ,

Try disabling SAM and reinstall

and

Reinstall using Visual C++ AIO after download extract the install.bat file right click run as administrator.

    Hi ,

    If it's only gaming, it could be the video driver. Did you enable Above 4G and SAM (Smart Access Memory) in the BIOS?

    Did you try installing an older version of the video driver using AMD Cleanup?

    If possible, take a screenshot of the error. Which application is causing this error?
