You haven't indicated the Version Number of your Office software but the UI problems you're referring to are indicative of a need to update Office.
Mac Office now should be at 16.102.3 or higher depending on your chosen update channel. That update should address those issues.
After reinstalling Office 365: green bar was back again; after updating that reinstalled version: green bar is gone. So, latest updated versions cause the problem...
Ok. But I have posted on a forum for Apple nerds; none of them has this...(with same hardware, software).
Not so important but it is the second not so important thing (first is the green bar in Excel windows which shows transparant and after resizing the window turns green again; also after Tahoe...)
Hi Marten,
macOS Tahoe’s Finder redesign: Apple updated how sidebar and Go menu icons are rendered, making third-party cloud services more prominent.
OneDrive’s new branding integration: Microsoft uses a scalable vector icon that now appears larger under the new Finder rendering rules.
This is cosmetic only and does not affect sync or functionality.
What you can try is:
Currently, there’s no built-in setting to resize or revert the icon. Your options:
Update OneDrive – Microsoft may adjust icon scaling in future updates.
Send feedback – Use Help → Send Feedback in Finder or OneDrive to report the oversized icon.
Alternative Finder tools – Apps like Commander One or Forklift allow customizable sidebar icons if the visual change bothers you.
Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!
