My bluetooth headphones wont connect or even come up as an Input Audio option

So, I've been using my bluetooth headphones on my computer for a good while now, maybe a week or two?
For context I have two pairs of the same kind, I lost the first pair, went out and bought new ones because they were really nice, but then eventually found the old pair. Both pairs are missing the left earbud but it's never been an issue until a few days ago.

I used to use pair 1 for my computer when playing online games right, simply when I wouldn't have much to do. And I'd often have to use my mic, but eventually I got off the game. I went to reconnect pair one. Music and Audio were fine but the mic wouldn't connect whatsoever.
So I thought to myself I'll manually go connect the mic, but my headphones (Exibel Hybrid BTX500 ANC) simply would not come up as an option for input audio.

I thought it was pretty weird so I went ahead and tried out pair 2. They worked for a few days, up until yesterday.
The battery was about to run out because I had used them all day, so I went to charge them.

I tried using pair 1, but the mic still wouldn't work.

Eventually once pair 2 was fully charged, I took them back out and reconnected them. Again, Music and Audio was fine, but it wasn't connected as a mic. I went to go manually connect the mic, but pair 2 was now also not an option for input audio.

I've tried connecting both pairs to my phone and the mic is in fact connected.
Whenever I've tried connecting them to my computer, I've made sure all devices have bluetooth turned off, except for my computer.

Previously, both pairs were an option for input audio, so I am extremely confused.
I'm reaching out here as well as to the headphone company to see if there are issues on either end. I really hope you guys can help, even slightly.

Hi, thanks for posting here in Microsoft community, if your Bluetooth mic isn’t showing up as an input option even after trying all the usual steps re pairing, driver updates, sound settings, it might be a compatibility issue or a Windows bug. Try disabling “Exclusive Mode” in the mic’s properties and test the headphones on another PC to isolate the problem. If it still doesn’t work, reaching out to the manufacturer might be the next best step.

Also, to better understand, when you connect the headphones, do they show up at all under the “Recording” tab in Sound settings, or are they completely missing?

Let me know how it goes.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with your Bluetooth headphones not being recognized as input audio devices on your computer. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Bluetooth Compatibility: Ensure that your Bluetooth headphones are compatible with your computer. Some Bluetooth audio devices may have limitations when used with certain systems.
    2. Remove and Re-Pair Devices: Go to your Bluetooth settings, remove both pairs of headphones, and then try to re-pair them. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.
    3. Check Audio Settings: After connecting your headphones, right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, select "Sounds," and then go to the "Recording" tab. Ensure your headphones are set as the default device for input audio.
    4. Update Drivers: Make sure that your Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through Device Manager.
    5. Disable Exclusive Mode: Sometimes, disabling exclusive mode can help. Go to the "Recording" tab in the sound settings, select your headphones, click on "Properties," go to the "Advanced" tab, and uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
    6. Test with Other Devices: Since you mentioned that the mic works with your phone, it might be worth testing with another computer to see if the issue persists there as well.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be worth reaching out to the headphone manufacturer for further assistance.
