does visual studio 2026 upgrade visual studio 2022 or is visual studio 2026 standalone? if standalone, how do i uninstall visual studio 2022? do i use the app system icon or do i need to reset my pc?

Visual Studio versions
Major versions of Visual Studio, like 2022 and the 2026, are separate, standalone applications. This means you can install VS 2026 alongside your current 2022 version without any problems. They are designed to work side-by-side.
Uninstalling Visual Studio 2022
If you decide you want to remove Visual Studio 2022, you don't need to reset your PC, just simply uninstall it through the Visual Studio Installer.

When trying to install Visual Studio 2022, it no longer appears in the installer. Is it really no longer possible to download it?
