I have Windows 11, version 24H2 and 25H2 installed on my laptop. My battery icon is displayed on my taskbar, and when I hover over it, it shows me the battery charge percentage. But the icon is in black and white only, regardless of charge level of the battery. How do I get the colorized icon that was just released?

The new interactive color battery icon, like all new functionality Microsoft add to Windows 11, is being slowly released around the world, provided you have the November update installed, you will soon see that new icon on your taskbar, there is no method available to force that, it is just a case of waiting a while and you will get that new battery icon.

To display a color battery icon in Windows 11, ensure that your system is updated to the latest version, as new features, including color icons, may be included in recent updates. Since you have Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2 installed, check for any additional updates by navigating to Settings > Windows Update and selecting Check for updates.

If your system is fully updated and the battery icon remains in black and white, it could be due to the feature not being available for your specific hardware configuration or it may not have been rolled out to all devices yet. Restarting your device after updates can also help in applying any changes.

For further assistance, consider visiting Microsoft support forums or the Windows feedback hub to see if there are any known issues regarding the color battery icon in your version of Windows 11.

I have installed a fresh Windows 11, made all updates and installed all drivers for in this case Lenovo Yoga 11e. After that a clone of the disc is made with Macrium Reflect. After that restored to a lot of identical laptops. They have same identical hardware, BIOS and so on.

Out of 20 only 3 have the new icon.

Why is it not on all of them?
