Yes, you can install Office 2010 on your new Windows 11 computer. However, it is important to note that Microsoft does not support the use of multiple versions of Office on versions of Windows that have Terminal Services enabled. If you want to run Office 2010 on Windows 11, ensure that Terminal Services is disabled.

To install Office 2010, follow these steps:

    1. Insert the Office 2010 installation media or download the installation files from the Microsoft Office site.
    2. Run the setup program.
    3. Enter your product key when prompted.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

If you encounter any issues during installation, consider using virtualization solutions like Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) to avoid conflicts with other installed applications.

    Hi Doug,

Office 2010 is not supported anymore from October 13, 2020.

Best path that actually works on Windows 11 is to install a supported Office release. Microsoft supports Microsoft 365 Apps and the perpetual Office 2021 and Office 2024 families on Windows 11. To do this, sign in at your Microsoft account dashboard, open Office apps on the Overview page, choose the product that is in support, then select Install and run the installer. When the apps open the first time, sign in to activate. This is the only route that will keep working and keep you secure on Windows 11.

If your only license is an Office 2010 key, there is no in-place upgrade using that key on Windows 11. You would need to move to Microsoft 365 or purchase a current perpetual license, because Office 2010 is out of support and its downloads are removed from the Microsoft site.

If you want, tell me which license you prefer and I will write the exact install steps for your case.
