No Ethernet connection after Windows 11 version 2512 update

Having just upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11 on a new computer on 5th October which connected with ethernet cable to router, I believe that after the Windows 11 version 2512 update that connection stopped working and I have to rely on the wireless connection. Device Manager says 'Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller is working properly' - version 10.75.324.2025.

What is the issue and how do I get it to work properly?

Run Network Adapter troubleshooter from Settings app > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Let us know what it reports back.
