To open files on a USB drive, follow these steps:

    1. Insert the USB Drive: Plug your USB drive into an available USB port on your computer.
    2. Access File Explorer: On Windows, open File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon in your taskbar or pressing Windows + E on your keyboard.
    3. Locate the USB Drive: In the left pane of File Explorer, look for your USB drive under "This PC" or "Devices and drives." It may be labeled with a drive letter (like E: or F:).
    4. Open the USB Drive: Click on the USB drive to view its contents. If nothing appears, ensure that the drive is properly connected and try reconnecting it.
    5. View Files: You can now browse through the folders and files stored on the USB drive. Double-click on any file to open it with the appropriate application.

If you are still unable to see the USB drive, check if the drive is recognized by your computer or try using a different USB port or computer.

I don't recommend that you try to open Office files directly from a USB stick, there are many reports of file corruption from doing that. Instead, copy the files to your hard disk, then open them in Office.

You haven't posted your operating system, so these comments apply to Office for Windows.

Assuming you mean VBA macros when you write "subs", open the file in the appropriate program, then click on the Developer tab, then click on Macros to view the available subroutines in that file.

If the Developer tab is not visible, use File>Options>Customize Ribbon and check Developer in the right-hand list of Main Tabs. OK out and the Developer tab will become visible

    Hi,

    The files should be there.

Are you sure they are not hidden?

    Open File Explorer.

Select View on the command bar.

    Select Show. Enable Hidden items.

Open Options on the right. Select the View tab.

Disable Hide protected operating system files if required.

I look forward to your response and am eager to collaborate until we find a solution.
