Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

This usually happens because of one of three things: an unstable internet connection, an outdated app version, or a temporary glitch in the app. Since the Translate tool is cloud-based, it does need a stable internet connection to work properly.

When you have a moment, try checking your connection, updating the Word app, or closing and reopening it. If it’s still not working after that, feel free to let me know what you’re seeing on your screen, I’m here to help.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions or concerns.

If Word is not translating a sentence for you, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some points to consider:

    1. Language Settings: Ensure that the paragraph language is set correctly. If the paragraph is in Spanish, it should be set to Spanish as the source language. You can check this by selecting the paragraph, going to the Review Ribbon tab, clicking Language, and then choosing Set Proofing Language.
    2. Translation Feature: Make sure you are using the translation feature correctly. After selecting the sentence, you should find the translate option in the ribbon or context menu. If you are not seeing any response, it may be a temporary glitch.
    3. Internet Connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection, as translation services often require online access.
    4. File Format: Check if the document format is supported for translation. Some formats may not allow translation features to work properly.

If these suggestions do not resolve the issue, consider checking for updates or reinstalling the application to ensure all features are functioning correctly.
