Any explanation for why they can do this? This is an extreme mark up for something that similar software can do just as well.

This is an extreme markup for something that is not increasing in performance. We are offered an AI credit system, which controls how many times we use the AI copilot? This is a rip off and it sounds like you will raise the price as people become more dependent on it.

You are already feeding your AI with EVERY WORD WE TYPE WHILE USING YOUR PROGRAMS, and yet you continue to raise prices and limit services?

Here is Microsoft's page on how to switch to Microsoft 365 Classic without Copilot and get the old price back: Switching to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family Classic Plans

In May, they announced that increase to the Microsoft 365 subscription, because they were adding new functionality to Microsoft 365 like Copilot... etc.

If you do not need that new functionality, log into your Microsoft account online and choose to cancel your subscription, on the next window, scroll down and you should see the option to get Microsoft 365 Classic without Copilot... etc. for the original cheaper price.

So there is a way to opt out and they are just auto-signing people up for this? That sounds like something McAfee was sued for.
