Can not remove today, yesterday and other "useful" inventions in explorer that makes it so ugly to use... - to roll back to usable version? Why not charge money for not changing anything?

Any third party alternatives instead of these imitated innovation explorer in W11? Same for ribbon office...

    Hi Vladimir Kogan,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I completely understand your frustration with the recent changes in File Explorer.

Even though there is no official option to fully revert it to the previous style, we can adjust the settings to make it behave in a much more familiar way and remove groupings like today/yesterday.

    1. Open File Explorer and navigate to a folder that's showing the "Today/Yesterday" view (like your Downloads folder).
    2. Right-click on an empty space in the folder.
    3. Go to Group by and select (None). This is the single most important step to remove the automatic grouping.
    4. Then, go to View > Sort by and choose something more practical like "Name" or "Date modified".
    5. Finally, in the View menu, I recommend selecting "List" or "Details" view for the cleanest, most classic experience.

I hope this solution helps to improve your experience. Please feel free to reply if you have any other questions.

Windows 11 has introduced a new File Explorer interface that some users find less usable than previous versions. Unfortunately, there is no built-in option to revert to the classic File Explorer directly within Windows 11. However, you can consider using third-party alternatives that mimic the classic File Explorer experience. Some popular third-party file managers include:

    1. Explorer++ - A free and open-source file manager that offers a tabbed interface and a familiar layout.
    2. XYplorer - A powerful file manager with a customizable interface and a variety of features, available as a paid option.
    3. Total Commander - A shareware file manager that provides a dual-pane interface and extensive file management capabilities.

These alternatives can help you regain a more traditional file management experience.

Regarding the Office ribbon, there are also third-party applications available that can provide a more classic interface, such as Classic Menu for Office, which restores the traditional menus and toolbars.
