I want to darken and enlarge the fonts on my HP laptop. The current light fonts are straining my eyes.

Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.

In the resulting box, type cttune.exe and press Enter.

That will open the Clear Type utility, work through that, and on each window, select the clearest and darkest text, to see if that makes the fonts on your screen clearer.

With regards to making the fonts bigger, open the Settings app, then go to Accessibility - Text Size.

There is a slider on that settings window to make fonts larger in Windows, that will affect the font size of most of the fonts in Windows user interface.

To enlarge and darken fonts on your HP laptop running Windows 11, you can adjust the text size and use the system settings to change the font color. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Change Text Size:
      • Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Display.
      • Use the Make text bigger slider to increase the text size.
    2. Adjust Font Color:
      • You can change the theme to dark mode, which may help with visibility. Go to Settings > Personalization > Colors.
      • Select Dark under Choose your color to enable dark mode.
    3. Use High Contrast Settings (if needed):
      • In Settings, navigate to Ease of Access > High contrast.
      • Turn on high contrast to make text more legible against the background.

These adjustments should help reduce eye strain by enlarging and darkening the fonts on your laptop.
