What to do if you no longer have access to the things requested for account recovery?

Well, I was trying to log into an Outlook account, but it asks for the authenticator, and I sold my phone and had reset it before selling it. When I use my recovery email, there are two options: one is mine and the other is one I’ve never used. Now, I enter the code from my recovery email, but it also asks me to enter the code from the other email (which I don’t have access to). I’m completely lost and don’t know what to do anymore, and I’ve already made purchases with this email. I really don’t want to lose my items.

If you no longer have access to the authenticator app and cannot receive codes from your recovery email, you may need to follow these steps to regain access to your Outlook account:

    1. Use Recovery Options: Try to use any other recovery options available. If you have set up security questions or alternative recovery methods, use those to verify your identity.
    2. Contact Support: If you cannot access your account through the usual recovery methods, you should contact Microsoft support for assistance. They can guide you through the recovery process and may ask for verification of your identity.
    3. Provide Documentation: Be prepared to provide any necessary documentation that proves your identity and ownership of the account. This may include purchase receipts or other relevant information.
    4. Check for Other Accounts: If there are multiple recovery emails listed, check if you have access to any other email accounts that might be linked to your Outlook account.
    5. Consider Creating a New Account: If recovery is not possible and you cannot regain access, you may need to consider creating a new Outlook account. However, this means you may lose access to items associated with the old account unless you can recover it.

It's important to act quickly, especially if you have made purchases with the email, as some recovery options may have time limits.
