We have an active OLV product ( SA eligible ) for Windows Server including Data Center and Server Standard.

In Volume Licensing page in Entra Admin console, i only see the KMS for 2022, but for the 2025 i only see the MAK keys.

How can i obtain 2025 KMS keys ?

Hello Yanni Sie,

Thank you for describing the concern. With an active OLV agreement and Software Assurance, you’re entitled to both MAK and KMS activation methods. At the moment, only MAK keys for Windows Server 2025 are published in the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). The KMS host keys will be released later, once the supporting KMS host update is available. That’s why you currently see KMS keys for 2022 but not yet for 2025.

For now, you can activate Windows Server 2025 using the MAK keys provided in VLSC—this is fully supported and won’t affect your entitlement. Keep checking the Product Keys section in VLSC, as the 2025 KMS key will appear once published. If you need KMS activation urgently for large deployments, you can contact Microsoft Volume Licensing Support with your agreement details to request assistance.

If this guidance proves helpful, feel free to click “Accept Answer” so we know we’re heading in the right direction 😊. And of course, I’m here if you need further clarification or support.

To obtain KMS keys for Windows Server 2025, you typically need to access the Product Keys section of the Volume Licensing Service Center. Since you mentioned that you only see the MAK keys for 2025 in the Entra Admin console, it may be necessary to check the following:

    1. Volume Licensing Service Center: Log in to the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) to see if the KMS keys are available there. Sometimes, keys may not be immediately visible in the Entra Admin console but can be found in the VLSC.
    2. Contact Microsoft Activation Center: If you cannot find the KMS keys in the VLSC, consider reaching out to the Microsoft Activation Center for assistance. They can provide guidance on how to obtain the necessary keys for your specific licensing agreement.
    3. Eligibility and Agreements: Ensure that your organization’s licensing agreement includes KMS keys for Windows Server 2025. If your agreement is only providing MAK keys, you may need to review the terms or upgrade your licensing agreement.

If you continue to have issues, it may be beneficial to consult with your Microsoft licensing representative for further assistance.
