Hi.
When a user logs on with a fresh userprofile, the following 3 boxes are shown.
Is there a way to disable them? Something in the registry maybe?
I want them gone...

Bart S 16 Reputation points2021-04-20T09:01:39.85+00:00 Seems to me that value 0 = not shown yet, value = 1, shown but not used "got it" button and value = 2 looks like "do not show again"
It is a pity that stuff like this is added to enterprise office. Instead of adding code to facilitate things like this, and get bloated office program sizes of multiple GB's, that get slower over time, Microsoft should focus on removing all code (like thos tips & tricks) that is not required for office, and get a smaller program size, and faster operation.

2021-04-24T14:08:19.01+00:00 I agree. Bloat is slowing things down. There should be a GPO that turns all off or by product. I am now up to 19 registry entries for o365 products.
And you are correct, I posted too quick, it was a value of 2 to prevent it from showing for users.
I forgot to give credit to Victor Homocea for this find. I am trying to find a full list of Callouts so I can disable them for the enterprise.

I ended up setting Default to 2 so I could use the silly software in peace and not like someone who has never encountered a Microsoft product.

I believe it is the same thing in AD / Group Policies. I have these enabled, but still I am seing same screen. Does O365 still honor v16 registry?

JeremyHarany-4803 0 Reputation points2023-08-21T19:13:09.7733333+00:00 Based on this article, I exported my own [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\TeachingCallouts] key, set all values to 2, and have saved it for our org to use.
Will post back with success / failure.

2025-02-18T17:55:16.82+00:00 Not via a setting as M$FT should have done. I did a regedit and turned off a couple more (set them to 2) but most were already set to 2. These stupid callouts and the AI interference is pushing me away from O365 and Win. Why can't these new programmers just have some common sense? So many bugs, useless features, missing options, and total user confusion with Desktop, Workspaces, Groups, Collections, Favorites...each feature has some good points and all missing some. Sorry, not on topic but frustrated w/ MSFT lately after setting up two new laptops!
