My camera is a built in camera on my Lenovo Legion 5. It has probably accidentally been uninstalled by me in the device manager while I was trying to fix it.

To fix the issue with your built-in camera not appearing in Device Manager, you can try the following steps:

  1. Check if the camera is disabled: Sometimes, cameras can be disabled through settings. To check this, open the Camera settings page by searching for Settings in Windows, then navigate to Bluetooth & devices > Cameras. Look for any disabled cameras and enable them if necessary.
  2. Use Device Manager to reinstall the camera: If the camera is not visible in Device Manager, you can try to make hidden devices visible:
    • Open Device Manager by searching for it in Windows.
    • Click on the View menu and select Show hidden devices.
    • Look for your camera under the Imaging devices section or any other relevant category. If you find it, right-click and select Uninstall device. After that, restart your computer to allow Windows to reinstall the driver automatically.
  3. Check for driver updates: If the camera still does not appear, you may need to update the drivers. You can do this by going to the Device Manager, right-clicking on your computer's name at the top, and selecting Scan for hardware changes. This may prompt Windows to recognize and reinstall the camera driver.
  4. Physical connection: Since it’s a built-in camera, ensure that there are no hardware issues. Sometimes, a hardware reset (like removing the battery if possible) can help.

If none of these steps work, you may need to check for any BIOS settings related to the camera or consult Lenovo support for further assistance.
