I built a new PC in August 2025, and I'm facing persistent, frustrating crashes in demanding games. I've tried numerous fixes but have hit a wall. I would greatly appreciate any help on this.

When playing demanding games like RDR2 or Cyberpunk 2077, my screen freezes completely within 5-10 minutes.

A loud, continuous buzz sound plays through my headphones/speakers. The PC does not shut down or restart. The CPU fans and lights remain on, but the frozen screen and buzz force me to do a forced shutdown.

In slightly less demanding games like GTA V or CS2, the same issue occurs, but it takes longer (around an hour).

My PC Specs:

  • CPU - Intel Core i5-13400F

GPU - ASUS Prime AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB OC

Motherboard - MSI PRO B760M-E

RAM - Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 5200MHz

Storage - WD Blue SN580 NVMe 1TB SSD

PSU - Cooler Master MWE Bronze 650 W V3

CPU Cooler - Ant Esports ICE-C612

Monitor - Viewsonic VX2479A (1080p)

OS - Windows 11 Home

I've spent days troubleshooting. Here's what I've already tried till now:

Disabled XMP profile in BIOS.

Tried GPU Undervolting via AMD Adrenalin software.

Changed Windows Power Plan to "Balanced."

Uninstalled MSI Afterburner and any other OC tools.

Used DDU in Safe Mode and performed a clean install of the latest AMD drivers.

Also tried older, stable versions of the AMD drivers.

Disabled fastboot in BIOS.

At last, I fully reset my Windows 11, wiping everything and starting from scratch. Nothing has worked. Same crashes every time.

I'm really frustrated because I saved up for this build and can't even enjoy the games I bought it for.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with the RX 9060 XT?

    hi vibhakar, welcome in community

I know how frustrating it can be, so I'm here to help.

First of all, have you overclocked your computer? I mean, the RAM, graphics card, and CPU.

If so, reset the clock speeds to default first; you can do that from the BIOS.

Also, did you download the drivers from the Asus support website or use dedicated software? Given the situation, I recommend downloading them manually from the official Asus website.

last one but no less important, perform a clean boot

    let me know
