Before requesting a refund, please check whether the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft or through a third-party retailer such as Best Buy, Apple, or Google. If it was purchased through a third party, they are responsible for billing and refunds—not Microsoft.

If the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft, you’ll need to create a support case to request a refund. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft Support page: support.microsoft.com. Sign in with the account associated with your subscription and follow the prompts to contact support.

Microsoft’s refund policy typically allows refunds within 30 days of purchase.

Note: If you simply want to cancel the subscription to avoid future charges, sign in to your Microsoft account, go to the Subscriptions section, select Manage, and choose Cancel. This will turn off auto-renew so you won’t be charged again, but you will retain access to the subscription until the end of the current billing period.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. If you cancel your subscription within 30 days of purchase or renewal, you’re usually eligible for a full refund. In some countries, like Canada, Denmark, Germany, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, and Israel, you may still get a prorated refund even after 30 days. If you bought your subscription through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or a retailer, you’ll need to request the refund directly from them.

To request a refund, sign in at account.microsoft.com/services using the account that paid for the subscription. Find your Microsoft 365 subscription, select Manage, then choose Cancel subscription. If you’re eligible, you’ll see an option to request a refund during the cancellation process, just confirm and submit.

Refunds for recurring charges are usually available within 72 hours of renewal. After that, it might be harder to get a refund, but contacting support can help. Even after canceling, you’ll typically keep access until the end of your billing period.

Here’s the help article for more details: Request a refund. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription-67dca30b-b323-44d5-acc2-e02f9902c472

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Edward
