Hello hsauy,
Many laptops default to multimedia mode, so pressing F1 alone triggers system functions like opening the file manager, while Fn + F1 gives you the actual F1 input. Try toggling Fn Lock (usually by pressing Fn + Esc or a dedicated key with a lock icon) so your function keys behave normally.
If that doesn’t help, check for OEM utilities (like Lenovo Vantage or HP Hotkey Support) that might override F1 and disable those shortcuts. Also, confirm in the game settings that F1 is being detected, If not, the OS is still intercepting it. As a workaround, you can remap another key to act as F1 using tools like PowerToys Keyboard Manager or SharpKeys.
