Recently the wallpaper app has been updated to make my desktop clickable. If I click on the desktop, my browser opens to describe the image. That is annoying and interrupts my workflow. I would like an option to turn it off.

Hi Dan Meigs, I can imagine how irritating that must be having your browser pop open every time you click the desktop can really break your focus and workflow. It feels like something that should be optional not forced on you.
turn off Bing Wallpaper desktop click feature open Bing Wallpaper settings from the system tray disable the option Desktop click opens Bing optionally turn off other interactive features like visual search and news feed and if the toggle is missing or doesn’t work uninstall Bing Wallpaper or reinstall an older version without this feature.
Have you already tried disabling the Bing Wallpaper feature through its settings or would you prefer a complete removal of the application to prevent any future issues?

It's not possible to switch this setting off. It's irritating.

the options in Bing Wallpaper Settings keep changing; but you can still turn off all three (!) desktop widgets that it creates from here.
