WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO USE PUBLISHER AFTER OCTOBER 2026?

Looking for an alternate for PUBLISHER since it is being dropped. I use it for a monthly volunteer newsletter. It is great. I am trying to learn SCRIBUS in the meantime but it is not as user friendly. Will I be able to use PUBLISHER unsupported after 2026 deadline?

If you have a perpetual license for Publisher (not a subscription), you will be able to continue to use Publisher after support for it is discontinued.

I have Publisher within a standalone copy of Office Pro Plus 21 which is installed. The licence has been applied appropriately but doesn't show. Why is the licence not showing within my account?

Secondly as a Microsoft Customer since you started, I am very disappointed with your attidude to your customers and choice.

I bought one of you first machines which had 1 mb of video ram. I have been using Publisher ever since you produced it especially to the thousands of students that I have taught over the years. In your comment you state that I can use Word or PowerPoint for the same things, Word failed within 10 seconds . I am currently using wall photos of 60cm by 40cm. The largest page size that Word allows is 55cm!!!!!!!!!!!! In Publisher I could have done metres if I wished and as I have in the past. Surely as a customer we can decide to use or not use the program as we have paid for it.

If you check out my email address, you will see how long I have been a customer of yours.

    Please respond to this comment

I have the microsoft suite which is about $100 a year. Not sure what a "perpetual license is.

Since you are paying yearly, you have a subscription version of Office (Microsoft 365). Publisher is currently included in that version, but it won't be after October 2026.

To use Publisher after October 2026, you need Office Professional 2021, which is a perpetual (one-time payment) license that does include Publisher. This version is no longer sold by Microsoft, and you need to be very careful if you decide to purchase it from a third-party seller, so that you don't give money to a scammer.
