    Hi Shashi Kooner,

Sign in to Outlook.com and check Recoverable Items under Deleted Items to restore any flagged folders, verify your account status on Microsoft Account Services to ensure it wasn’t restricted, confirm that email and folder sync is enabled in your Outlook settings, and if folders are still missing, submit the Microsoft Account Recovery Form with details like folder names and recent activity for a backend recovery attempt.

Hi Shashi Kooner, I completely understand how stressful this must be for you, especially since those emails contain important documents. Losing access to critical information can feel overwhelming.

First, verify your account status because Microsoft may purge mailbox data if it was inactive for more than 30 days then use Outlook hidden recovery feature under Settings View all Outlook settings General Privacy and data to export any remaining mailbox content then check for PST or OST files on your computer or backups from mobile apps submit the Microsoft Account Recovery Form for backend retrieval, and if you had Microsoft 365, ask an admin to use eDiscovery or PowerShell for advanced recovery.

How long was your Outlook account inactive before you reactivated it and did you ever use the desktop Outlook app or mobile sync that might have created local PST or OST backups?

    Best regards

To retrieve your deleted emails from Outlook/Hotmail, you can follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to your Outlook account: Go to the Outlook website and log in with your credentials.
    2. Check the Deleted Items folder: Look for the "Deleted Items" folder on the left panel. If you find your emails there, you can select them and choose to move them back to your inbox or another folder.
    3. Recover Deleted Items: If you don't see your emails in the Deleted Items folder, you can try to recover them:
      • Click on the "Deleted Items" folder.
      • At the top of the page, you should see an option that says "Recover items deleted from this folder". Click on it.
      • A list of items that can be recovered will appear. Select the emails you want to restore and click "Restore".
    4. Check other folders: If you have other folders where you might have moved your emails, check those as well.

If you still cannot find your important emails, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a telephone number, but you can visit the Microsoft support website for help.
