Rewards Account Temporary Restriction.

My Rewards account has the message “Your account has been restricted” so I am now no longer to redeem any points I have accumulated using MS Rewards.

I am not aware that I have violated any rules (such as searching too quickly) so how do I go about getting it unrestricted (the contact form for MS Rewards is greyed out so can’t use that) ?

MS Support never helps with this issue. They never give a clear answer. Their ai makes fake web pages with so many BS restrictions that are not understandable by a normal human. This question has been asked more than 5000 times over the years and they never fix the issue. It's called professional cyberbullying. MS by using ai gets away with abuse and harassment everyday..

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft community and sharing your concern. If your Microsoft Rewards account is restricted and the support form isn’t working, here’s what you can try.

First, restrictions usually happen because of unusual activity, like very rapid searches, using VPNs or proxies, or sometimes even system errors that flag accounts by mistake.

Start by checking your email and your Microsoft account dashboard at account.microsoft.com for any alerts or instructions. Microsoft often sends details about the restriction there.

Next, try the Rewards support form again at Microsoft Rewards Support. Make sure you select a topic first, otherwise the fields stay greyed out. If it still doesn’t work, try using a private browser window or clearing your cache and cookies.

If you still can’t access the form, you can reach out through other channels like Microsoft Support here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus

Most temporary restrictions lift within a few days to two weeks if you keep your activity normal. Avoid doing searches too aggressively during this time.

If you believe the restriction is a mistake, submit an appeal when the form becomes available. Include your account email, explain that you’ve followed the rules, and mention any relevant details like not using VPNs or bots.

Hope this helps clear things up. If you need more guidance, feel free to ask.

    Regards,

    Edward

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. Microsoft Rewards accounts can sometimes be restricted for reasons like suspicious activity, violations of the Rewards Terms of Service, or even system errors and false positives. It’s possible for an account to be flagged even if no rules were broken.

To make sure everything is okay, start by checking your account status at account.microsoft.com and confirm that your account is active and secure, with no pending security alerts. If the Rewards form is still greyed out, try signing out and back in or using a different network instead of just switching browsers.

Next, visit rewards.microsoft.com and see if there’s any message saying your account is suspended or under review. If everything on the page is greyed out, that usually means the account is restricted.

For more details, you can read about Microsoft Rewards here: Learn about Microsoft Rewards here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/learn-about-microsoft-rewards-c5ab735d-c6d9-4bb9-30ad-d828e954b6a9

Once you’ve checked that, fill out the support form and someone from the team will get in touch with you.

    Hope this helps!

    All the best,

    Edward

If your Microsoft Rewards account has been restricted, and you are unable to redeem points, it is important to follow the appropriate steps to address the issue. Here are some general recommendations:

    1. Check for Email Notifications: Look for any emails from Microsoft regarding the restriction. They may provide specific reasons or instructions on how to resolve the issue.
    2. Visit the Microsoft Rewards Help Page: You can find information related to account restrictions and possible resolutions on the Microsoft Rewards support page.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: Since the contact form for MS Rewards is greyed out, you may try reaching out to Microsoft Support through other channels, such as their official support website or social media channels.
    4. Review Microsoft Rewards Terms: Familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of Microsoft Rewards to ensure you understand the rules and guidelines that may have led to the restriction.

Unfortunately, without specific details on the restriction or access to the contact form, it may take some time to resolve the issue. Keep an eye on your email for any updates from Microsoft regarding your account status.
