Yes, that's right. There are no separate drivers. They are installed "bundled" with the rest of the drivers. That's why I recommended using automatic search/installation.:
HP Victus Camera Not found, it is not in the Device manager....
Hey,
My laptop is HP Victus 15 and I recently noticed that it's camera is not working. So I checked the device manager and it wasn't found there. I checked the windows update and the HP support assistant for drivers, but no use. The BIOS up to date, and the windows is also up to date. I also checked the HP website for drivers, but there was no driver found for the laptop. Also there is an unknown device shown in the device manager. Is there any other drivers compatible with the laptop? Can someone help me out?

2025-11-22T16:04:15.67+00:00 Hello, Naveen Kesav K.
Try to search for and install/update drivers using the "Detect my software and drivers" service on the official HP website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/victus-by-hp-15.6-inch-gaming-laptop-15-fa0000/2101092095
Also follow the recommendations from this Microsoft Knowledge Base article.: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/camera-doesn-t-work-in-windows-32adb016-b29c-a928-0073-53d31da0dad5
If nothing helps, then you should contact HP support (it is possible that the camera is physically defective).

2025-11-22T15:14:37.6866667+00:00 If your HP Victus camera is not found in the Device Manager, it may indicate that the drivers are not installed or recognized by Windows. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check for Hidden Devices: In Device Manager, click on "View" and select "Show hidden devices". Sometimes, the camera may be listed as a hidden device.
- Update Drivers: Since you mentioned that you checked for updates through Windows Update and HP Support Assistant, ensure that you also check the HP website for any specific camera drivers or software updates that may not have been included in the general updates.
- Reinstall the Camera Driver: If the camera is listed in Device Manager (even if it's not functioning), right-click on it and select "Uninstall device". After that, restart your laptop, and Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.
- BIOS Settings: Since you have confirmed that your BIOS is up to date, also check the BIOS settings to ensure that the camera is enabled. Sometimes, there are settings that can disable the camera.
- Windows Troubleshooter: Use the built-in Windows troubleshooter for hardware and devices. You can find this in Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Check ACPI Namespace: Ensure that the camera device is correctly enumerated in the ACPI namespace. This is important for Windows to recognize the device properly. If the camera is built into the chassis, it should provide the Physical Device Location (_PLD) object.
If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to contact HP support for further assistance, as they may have specific drivers or solutions for your model.
