I want to run an old XP program on Windows 11 Pro, and would prefer to download a valid microsoft Windows XP mode product, but can't locate a microsoft download link.

Hi,
unfortunately, XP mode exists in Windows 7 only. You may use virtual machine software (Hyper-V, third-party DOSBox or some other) and install Windows XP in this VM. Note, this requires a separate XP license.

Right-click the program then "Properties"
go to compatibility and run this program in compatibility mode for
"Windows XP Service Pack 3"
Click on "Apply"
you can try this compatibility settings if the program has an installer (before installation) or the exe file you open to run the program if it is already installed.
