I want to install microsoft 365 on my daughter's MacBook air using my family subscription plan. I get a message on her account that the activation key is already redeemed; how can I solve this ? I currently use only one license from the family plan.

The Microsoft Product key can only be used once to activate the Office licence and link it to your account as a digital licence.

On this link, they provide the full process to share a Microsoft 365 Family subscription by sending your daughter a link, she can then install Microsoft 255 using her own Microsoft account and have her own 1TB of OneDrive storage.

To share your Microsoft 365 family plan subscription with your daughter, you need to ensure that she is added as a family member in your Microsoft account. Here are the steps to do that:

    1. Add Family Members: Go to the Microsoft account family page and add your daughter as a family member. You can do this by inviting her via email.
    2. Sign In on Her Device: Once she accepts the invitation, she should sign in to her Microsoft account on her MacBook Air using the same account you added to your family plan.
    3. Install Microsoft 365: After signing in, she can download and install Microsoft 365 on her MacBook Air. This should allow her to activate the software without encountering the "activation key is already redeemed" message, as the license will be associated with her account through your family plan.
    4. Check License Assignment: If she still encounters issues, ensure that the license is properly assigned to her account in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. You may need to check that you have not exceeded the number of devices that can use the subscription.

If you follow these steps, your daughter should be able to use Microsoft 365 on her MacBook Air without any issues.
