how to fix missing dsound.dll error

i cannot fix a missing dll ive manually reinstalled it after trying a sfc sccannow and dism both before and after nor did installing the direct x package from microsoft work andd i tried installing the extended media feautures but that wasnt possible for me to do either and im wondering if theres anything at all i can do as im not excited to reinstall windows

    Hi Amy, are you using a Windows N or KN edition?

    On those editions, media features like dsound.dll are not included by default. Microsoft supports fixing this by installing the Media Feature Pack for your Windows version. On regular editions, make sure Windows Update is fully current and run the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Microsoft. Avoid downloading dlls from other sites, as Microsoft does not support that.
