    Hi Kentyn,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand that you accidentally uninstalled your Windows 11 media player. I am here to help.

Based on my knowledge Windows 11 has a couple of choices, there's the fresh Media Player app from the Microsoft Store, or the old-school Windows Media Player (they call it Legacy, lol) that's optional. If you dumped the new one, just grab it again from the Microsoft Store. Just hit Get and follow the steps.

For the older one, hop into Settings > Apps > Optional Features > View Features. Look for Windows Media Player, tick the box, next, then Install.

Once it's back on, reboot your PC. You should see Windows Media Player chilling in your Start menu.

I hope this answer is helpful, if you have any questions, feel free to reply.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

To reinstall Windows Media Player on Windows 11, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
    2. Go to Apps: In the Settings window, click on Apps.
    3. Optional Features: Click on Optional features under the Apps & features section.
    4. Add a Feature: Click on the Add a feature button at the top.
    5. Search for Windows Media Player: In the search box, type Windows Media Player.
    6. Install: Once you find Windows Media Player in the list, check the box next to it and click on the Install button.

This process should reinstall Windows Media Player on your system. If you encounter any issues, ensure that your Windows 11 is up to date and check for any pending updates in the Windows Update section.
