You’re very welcome! And honestly, you did everything right. Given everything we saw (especially the Intel SPI Host Controller failure + Realtek not initializing), replacing the board is absolutely the correct move.

It seems that the download page for audio under your MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 is not giving a direct Realtek driver file. Try checking on BIOS / UEFI settings

When you boot your PC, press the key (often Del or F2) to enter BIOS.

Look under Onboard Peripherals / Audio / Onboard Audio (or similar).

Ensure that Onboard Audio / HD Audio is Enabled, not Disabled or Auto-Detect.

If onboard audio is disabled in BIOS: enable it → Save → Reboot → check Device Manager again.

You mentioned MSI, but each MSI board uses a different Realtek driver.

Please tell me the exact model, like:

    MSI B550 Tomahawk

    MSI PRO B760-P

    MSI MAG B760M Mortar

    MSI A520M-A

    etc.

Thanks for showing the details, Douglas!

    Press Win + X → Device Manager

Expand Sound, video and game controllers

    • If you see Realtek Audio → driver is installed (maybe corrupted)
    • If you see High Definition Audio Device → Realtek driver missing
    • If you see Unknown device with yellow icon → INF error

Tell me what you see, but continue below.

Download the proper Realtek driver (NOT from Windows Store)

ONLY install the driver from your PC manufacturer, not generic ones.

    Choose your brand:

    • Acer / Asus / MSI / HP / Dell / Lenovo → each has its own Realtek version.

Go to your manufacturer’s support page → Drivers → Audio →

Download Realtek High Definition Audio Driver (UAD or HDA)

Then run the installer and reboot.

Speakers should now appear in sound settings but if you get “INF file missing” again:

    • Extract the driver ZIP (right-click → Extract All)
    • Open folder → find .inf files inside “HDX…” folder
    • Right-click any HDXRT.inf / HDXSA.inf / HDX.inf*
    • Select Install
    • Reboot

After the driver is installed correctly:

Open Microsoft Store, search Realtek Audio Console. It will download successfully (the INF error is gone)

Then check output, open settings, system then sound. Choose Speakers (Realtek Audio). Test Sound.

See if this helps. If you need further assistance just let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly

To resolve the issue with your Logitech speakers and the missing Realtek INF file, you can try the following steps:

    1. Install the Device-Specific Driver: If you haven't already, download the latest Realtek audio driver from the manufacturer's website or through the device's user guide. Make sure to install it before connecting your speakers.
    2. Use Device Manager:
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Locate your audio device, right-click on it, and select Uninstall Device.
      • Restart your computer. Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.
    3. Check Windows Update: Sometimes, the necessary drivers are available through Windows Update. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
    4. Repair or Reinstall the Realtek App: If you are directed to the Microsoft Store, try to repair or reinstall the Realtek audio app from there. If it fails due to a missing INF file, ensure that your Windows is fully updated.
    5. Connect to a Different USB Port: If your speakers are USB-connected, try plugging them into a different USB port on your computer.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
