New Outlook + Flag / Reminder = No pop-up notification or alert

Are there any workable solutions to the broken / non-functioning aspect of setting Flags (used to be called Follow-Up's) for emails that you send / arrive in your inbox? I'm using the New Outlook, and have already cross-checked all the typical MS recommendations when trying to troubleshoot Desktop Notifications not showing up.. Outlook Notifications are enabled in Windows Notification settings, Windows Focus and Batter Saver are both turned off...

I'm astonished that such a basic application function seems to have vanished with the "New Outlook" and even more surprised that it remains missing after so long... esp for an MS Business 365 user

    Dear @Mario Ciaralli

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on my understanding, you are using New Outlook and cannot receive the pop-up notification (alert) when you flag an email. In Classic Outlook, when you flagged an email, you could easily set a pop-up reminder (add reminder) that would appear at a specific time. Is my understanding correct?

If my understanding is correct, since New Outlook is web-based, the notification will appear in the Notifications pane (not a floating banner).

Based on my environment test, I have a workaround for this. In New Outlook, flag the email as usual, then open the To Do app > flagged email tab > find that email, right-click it > set reminder.

As Outlook continues to evolve, new features and settings may be introduced in future updates. We encourage you to submit feedback through the Microsoft Ideas Community at Ideas · Community so that the product team can review user preferences.

If there’s anything I may have misunderstood, I would truly appreciate it if you could provide a bit more detail to help me better understand your needs.

    Looking forward to your response!
