Notifications not appearing in Windows 11 despite everything switched on. Notifications are not muted. However there are no pop outs and I keep hearing pings with no visual sign and no idea what it is. Reddit Notifications, Facebook, Whatsapp, all of it. I am getting very tired of Windows 11. Please help. Oh and Phone Link has notifications set too.

If notifications are not appearing in Windows 11 despite being enabled, there are a few things you can check:

    1. Do Not Disturb Mode: Ensure that the Do not disturb toggle is not turned on. This can silence notifications even if they are enabled in the settings.
      • To check this, go to Start > Settings > System > Notifications and verify the toggle status.
    2. Focus Assist Settings: Check if Focus Assist (previously known as Quiet Hours) is enabled. This feature can suppress notifications during certain times or activities. You can adjust these settings in Settings > System > Focus assist.
    3. App-Specific Notification Settings: Make sure that notifications for specific apps like Reddit, Facebook, and WhatsApp are allowed. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Notifications, scrolling down to the app in question, and ensuring notifications are enabled.
    4. Windows Update: Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve notification issues. Check for updates in Settings > Windows Update.
    5. Restart Your Device: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches that may be affecting notifications.

If none of these solutions work, you may want to consider checking for any known issues with Windows 11 updates that could be affecting notifications.

@Johnny Grinter Bro go to your settings>system>About check your win 11 version in windows specifications, if your windows doesnt say '25H2' it means ur windows is outdated and stuff wont work properly so u need to go update it manually from the website. I had this exact issue, I couldn't even click on the notifications setting it would just close. but if it does say 25H2 then ur case's differentScreenshot 2026-04-11 221845

HiJohnny, that invisible sound thing is super frustrating! Usually, it's a notification setting acting up.

First, go to Settings > System > Notifications and be sure Show notification banners is on for each app. Then, check Focus Assist and turn it off if it's on. If you have more than one screen, the message might only show up on your main screen. Also, some apps like antivirus software can block messages.

Tell me if those apps are okay, or if Focus Assist was even on. Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Rez
