Cannot log into windows 11 without a password, which I did not set up. Will not accept my usual facial recognition, so I have no way to log in.

    Hi,

You’re locked out because Windows 11 defaults to a password when Windows Hello facial recognition fails and no backup sign-in option PIN or password was set up. This usually happens after updates or biometric configuration issues.

    To regain access:

Try other sign-in options PIN, picture password if available.

Use Safe Mode to log in and reconfigure sign-in settings.

Reset your Microsoft account password online if your account is linked.

Enable the hidden Administrator account via Advanced Startup → Command Prompt:

    net user Administrator /active:yes

Then reset your main account password.

If nothing works, Reset your PC choose Keep my files.

Always set up multiple sign-in methods PIN + password + Windows Hello to avoid lockouts after updates. Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!
