I am getting an "Access Denied" page when I try to log into my Navy Federal Credit Union account on my desktop. This is the notice I get, below.
When I log in on my phone, the same thing happens, EXCEPT when I log-in from a different location, (IP address) away from my home. Could it be that NFCU has flagged my IP address as a problem?
"Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://navyfederal.org/" on this server.

I have cleared my history, contacted the bank, talked to IT, updated my OS, and NOTHING. Help?!

Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 11
It sounds like Navy Federal’s security system may be blocking your home IP address, which can happen if unusual activity is detected. Here’s what you can try:
Try a different browser or use a private/incognito window.
Use a VPN temporarily to see if login works from a different IP.
Contact NFCU support again and mention the specific reference number; they may need to whitelist your IP.
These steps usually help resolve IP-based access blocks.
Hello
This message is coming from Akamai, the security network Navy Federal uses to protect its site. It gets shown when the system thinks your connection looks risky. That can include:
Your home IP address being flagged as suspicious
A VPN, proxy, or privacy tool that masks your IP
Too many login attempts from the same IP
Your router reusing an IP that a previous owner abused
Since your phone also displays the same issue, and it only works when you are on a different network, that is the biggest clue. It almost confirms your home IP is being blocked by Akamai, not by your bank directly.
I don't think Navy Federal support can remove an Akamai block, because the block is tied to the network side, not your account. Think of it like Akamai is a middle man, third party service they use.
A few things you can try -
Get off VPN, proxy if you are on any. Reboot your modem/router, that might get you a new IP address and see if that helps. If not, you might need to contact your ISP to see if they can move you to a different IP block/range.
It seems that you are encountering an "Access Denied" message when trying to access the Navy Federal Credit Union website. This issue could indeed be related to your IP address being flagged or blocked by the website's server, especially since you mentioned that you can log in from a different location without any issues.
Websites often implement security measures to protect against potential threats, such as denial-of-service attacks, which can result in certain IP addresses being temporarily blocked if they exceed connection thresholds. This is similar to the behavior observed with Microsoft websites hosted on Akamai's CDN, where frequent connections from a single source can lead to access being denied.
In your case, since you have already cleared your history, contacted the bank, and updated your OS without resolution, it might be worth trying the following steps:
If the problem persists, it may require further investigation from their technical support team.
