So frustrating trying to get the 10 points for Explore on Bing.

So frustrating trying to earn the 10 points for the 'Search on Bing' task sometimes. Today they offer 8 searches for a total of 80 points and no matter how I try to search, it never awards the 10 points, it just shows the half filled little hour glass in the corner. While searching I was simply earning the regular 5 points on both desktop and on the App.

Most times when they offer these 10 points perk it is simple and I earn it easily, but sometimes like today there is absolutely no way to put in the search that completes the task.

It states "Complete the right search in each of the provided categories to earn points! Try again if you don't get it on your first search." which is exactly what I'm doing. I even try wording the search exactly as it states in the task, but it still won't pay out.

There can't be a trick to it, since other times it pays out easily. But if there is a trick, I wish I could master it.

    Thanks for letting me know, are you signed in with the same Microsoft account on the device you use to complete the Search on Bing task?

    The 10 points only track when you are signed in and searching through Microsoft Edge or the Bing mobile app. The progress sometimes takes a moment to update, so a quick refresh of the Rewards page or signing out and back in helps. If the task still does not show progress, the supported step is to contact Microsoft Rewards Support from the Rewards dashboard so they can check your account.

    I see, since all other points track correctly, this looks like a tracking issue on Microsoft’s side. When the hourglass stays stuck on a Search on Bing category task, the activity is not logging the required keyword on the backend. The supported step is to submit a missing points request through the Rewards Support form in the Rewards dashboard so they can review the task on your account and apply the points if needed.

    Thanks for explaining, and no worries, you are clear. One quick question, when this happens, does the daily set or other activities track points correctly on the same day.

    Some users see this task fail because the required search categories do not register on the backend. The only supported fix from Microsoft is submitting a Rewards Support ticket through the Rewards dashboard so the task can be reviewed on your account. They handle missing points issues directly. Refreshing or switching devices will not resolve a task with broken tracking. If the rest of your points track correctly, Support is the official next step so they can adjust the activity or grant the points.
