Hi there,

A lot of my students are having problem logging into their Minecraft education account. Apparently these that cannot login are the students that used the same iPad and Minecraft education account last year. I deleted all the accounts in the beginning of this academic year and added them back. Now they cannot log back in. The error says something like switch account or something. Please help.

Thanks

If your students are experiencing issues logging into their Minecraft Education accounts, especially after you deleted and re-added their accounts, it may be related to how their Microsoft accounts are set up. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Account Verification: Ensure that each student has a valid Microsoft account linked to their Minecraft Education account. If they used a university email address previously, they should continue to use that.
    2. Sign Out and Sign In: Ask the students to sign out of the Minecraft Education app completely and then sign back in. This can sometimes resolve session-related issues.
    3. Clear App Data: If the problem persists, consider clearing the app data on the iPads. This can help reset the app's state and allow for a fresh login attempt.
    4. Check Account Status: Verify that their accounts are active and not blocked. You can do this by checking their account status in the Microsoft Entra admin center if you have administrative access.
    5. Error Messages: If the error message indicates a need to switch accounts, ensure that they are using the correct account credentials. They may need to manage their sign-in options to ensure they are using the right email address associated with their Minecraft Education account.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consult with your IT administrator or refer to Microsoft support for further assistance.
