    hi,

The repeated pop-up asking for your username and password means an app or service like Outlook, OneDrive, or a network share is failing to authenticate. This usually happens because saved credentials are outdated or incorrect, or network settings VPN/proxy interfere with login.

    To fix it:

Identify which app or server is requesting credentials.

Update your username and password in that app.

Clear old credentials from Windows Credential Manager or macOS Keychain.

Check VPN/proxy settings and ensure the server address is correct.

    Happy to help!

If you are experiencing a pop-up box asking for your username and password when trying to connect to a server, it may be related to your Outlook settings or authentication issues. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:

    1. Check Your Credentials: Ensure that you are entering the correct username and password for the server.
    2. Run Self-Diagnostics: If you are using Microsoft 365, you can run a self-diagnostics tool to identify the issue. Look for the option "Diag: Outlook keeps asking for my password" to launch the diagnostic.
    3. Adjust Logon Network Security: If you are using an older version of Outlook, you may need to change the "Logon network security" setting to "Anonymous Authentication". You can do this by:
      • Exiting Outlook.
      • Opening Control Panel and locating the Mail settings.
      • Adjusting the settings accordingly.
    4. Check for Updates: Make sure your Outlook version is up to date, as newer versions have fixes for this issue.

If the problem persists, consider checking for additional troubleshooting steps specific to your version of Outlook or contacting support for further assistance.
