Thanks for sharing the details, Tom! Try to force Outlook to Re-Request Permissions (Fixes MFA token lock)

Sometimes Outlook on iOS gets stuck with an expired authentication token even if Authenticator is updated.

    Try this:

    • Open Outlook app → tap profile icon (top left).
    • Tap the settings gear → select your email account.
    • Scroll down → tap Reset Account (not delete — reset only refreshes sync tokens).
    • Restart the Outlook app.

This forces a fresh MFA handshake and usually restores email sync immediately.

See if this helps. If you need further assistance just let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly

If you are unable to receive Outlook emails on your iPhone, it could be due to several reasons. One common issue is related to the TLS version being used by your Exchange server. Outlook for iOS requires TLS 1.2 or later to function properly. If your Exchange server is using an older version, such as TLS 1.0 or 1.1, you may encounter connectivity issues.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check TLS Version: Ensure that your Exchange server supports TLS 1.2. If it does not, you may need to upgrade your server or enable TLS 1.2.
    2. Verify TLS Certificate: Make sure that your TLS certificate is valid and installed correctly. An expired certificate can also prevent email synchronization.
    3. Account Configuration: Double-check your account settings in the Outlook app to ensure they are correct.
    4. Network Connection: Ensure that your iPhone has a stable internet connection.
    5. App Updates: Make sure that the Outlook app is updated to the latest version available in the App Store.

If the issue persists, you may want to consider using the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to help diagnose and fix the problem.
