Hello,
I hope I’ve selected the right tags, I’ve never done this before.
Anyway, my problem: I have had my Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop for not quite 5 years now, and for as long as I can remember, it’s been prone to crashing, displaying memory management 0x1A every time. I have no idea why this is, and to my knowledge, there doesn’t appear to be any overlap in what I’m doing when this happens, as it has crashed when I’m playing video games, on a Discord call, watching YouTube, when I’m doing nothing and the computer is idle, immediately upon booting up, and even before the computer has finished booting up, etc.
It used to be very infrequent, but more recently it’s become extremely common, happening every other day, sometimes multiple days in a row, and almost always multiple times in a day if it has already crashed once in that day. For example, my computer crashes, it reboots, it immediately crashes again, repeat. It has crashed up 6 times in a row on multiple occasions, crashing during or immediately after completing the reboot process. (As I’m looking at where to find my DMP files in case they’re needed, I can see that my computer has crashed 4 times today, in a span of fewer than 2 hours.)
I have tried cleaning, and unseating and reseating the RAM, cleaning, and unseating and reseating the memory modules, checking for loose wires, and running multiple Windows Memory Diagnostics, which always come back reporting no issues. I have seen people look at DMP files to diagnose errors, but I have no idea how to do this personally, so I wanted to try asking for help myself. Lastly, I’m not sure if it’s relevant but I’ll mention it in case it’s of any help as I have seen updating drivers suggested for solving my issue: my computer has a Radeon graphics card for which updating the drivers has been literally impossible due to one issue or another with the AMD Radeon updating process that I can’t seem to find a solution to. I don’t believe it’s that out of date, but at the very least the drivers don’t have the most recent update.
I apologise for the length of the question, I just want to give as much detail as possible as I desperately want to find a solution for these crashes and I’ve been procreating asking for help for far too long.
Thank for you any assistance.
