Hello, I'm no longer in a Microsoft Safety family, but I still can't access apps without asking an adult for permission, and when I do, this error appears:

Something went wrong. We're working on it – try again in a little bit. Trace ID: /sL152SY00G3hEx1.16.1

What can I do to fix this?

If you are encountering the error message "Something went wrong. We're working on it – try again in a little bit" while trying to access apps, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check your account settings: Since you mentioned that you are no longer in a Microsoft Safety family, ensure that your account settings reflect this change. Sometimes, permissions may still be in effect from previous settings.
    2. Clear browser data: Clear your browser's cache, cookies, and history. This can resolve issues caused by outdated or corrupted data stored in your browser.
    3. Restart your browser: Close and reopen your browser to refresh your session.
    4. Try a different browser or device: Sometimes, switching to another browser or device can help identify if the issue is browser-specific.
    5. Check for service outages: Visit the Microsoft service status page to check if there are any ongoing issues with Microsoft services that could be affecting your access.
    6. Contact support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance, especially if you believe there might be a lingering issue with your account settings.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the error you are experiencing.

Hi! If your Microsoft account is still considered a child account, the parental consent/restrictions can continue to apply even after you leave a Microsoft family group, which is why you’re seeing the permission/error prompts, there’s no longer an adult organizer attached to approve requests. In this case, what you need is to join a Microsoft family group again as a member, and make sure the organizer is an adult account who can manage consent and Family Safety settings for your account.
