Can I install Office 2016 on my new Windows 11 laptop, and then only install Publisher? I have hundreds of Publisher documents, many templates for posters etc, that I use regularly and Libre Draw is a very poor substitute for the wonderful Publisher? I cannot understand why Microsoft has discontinued this amazing product! 😄😄😄

Also can I disable Edge?

    Hi,

Yes, you can install it separately using the link below: https://officecdn.microsoft.com/db/492350F6-3A01-4F97-B9C0-C7C6DDF67D60/media/en-US/PublisherRetail.img

Once the download is complete, disconnect from the internet and right-click > select > mount> select File Explorer > My Computer > the Office icon, > right-click to open the > > run the Office folder > setup64.exe file.

Give feedback if the information was useful or not.

    Thanks

Yes, you can install Office 2016 on your Windows 11 laptop. Microsoft has made an exception to support Office 2016 on Windows 11, even though it is in extended support. This means you should be able to use Publisher along with other Office applications without issues.

Regarding Microsoft Publisher, while it is still available as part of the Office suite, Microsoft has not discontinued it. You can continue to use it for your documents and templates.

As for disabling Microsoft Edge, while the context does not provide specific instructions on disabling Edge, it is generally possible to set another browser as your default and limit Edge's functionality. However, for detailed steps, you may want to refer to specific guides on managing browsers in Windows 11.
