how to remove infected files from microsoft security scan

I am running Microsoft Security Scan. I shows infected files. What can I do?

    Thank you for your question and for reaching out with your question today.

    If this is the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it doesn't automatically remove malware or infected files. It will, however, show you where to find them. You should navigate to the file locations and identify the suspect file(s) and then use Microsoft Malware Protection Center to see if the file is known malware. if it is, then you should remove it from your system.

    I also recommend running a Microsoft Defender scan of your system.
