To revert back to an older version of Microsoft Edge, you can use the rollback feature. This feature allows you to replace your current version of Microsoft Edge with an earlier version, which can help in troubleshooting issues such as accessing programs that require IE mode. Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Determine the rollback method: You can deploy rollback manually using an MSI or through Microsoft Edge update and Group Policy.
  2. Install the older version: Follow the instructions for the rollback feature to install the desired version of Microsoft Edge.
  3. Use IE mode: Once you have reverted to the older version, you can configure IE mode to access the necessary program. Make sure that IE mode is set up correctly in Microsoft Edge to ensure compatibility with your legacy applications.

Keep in mind that using an older version may expose you to known security vulnerabilities, so it is recommended to enable Sync for all users to mitigate the risk of data loss.
