Hi all

Basic question
I want to know whether TPM 2.0 is required when upgrading to/installing windows server 2022 or is it only when Bitlocker should be used?
Thanks.

A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip is required in order to use certain features such as BitLocker Drive Encryption. If your computer uses TPM, it must meet these requirements:
Hardware-based TPMs must implement version 2.0 of the TPM specification.

So what exactly are the all other features besides BitLocker Drive Encryption which require a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip, in order to be used/function?

How I know, for Windows Server 2022 it isn't required because it's like Windows 10, but with Windows 11 build numbers. But for WinServer 2025 it must be required. Furthermore, now you can use test version of WS2025. Stable version has been released later. Goodluck!
