Website not appearing correctly in Bing search results after indexing request

I recently launched a business website and submitted it to Bing Webmaster Tools for indexing.

The site is accessible, loads correctly in browsers, and has a valid SSL certificate. However, after submitting the sitemap and requesting indexing, the pages are either not appearing in Bing search results or are appearing with incomplete metadata (title/description not matching the page content).

Steps already taken:

  • Verified site ownership in Bing Webmaster Tools
  • Submitted XML sitemap
  • Requested manual indexing
  • Checked robots.txt (no blocking rules)
  • Confirmed HTTPS is working properly

My questions:

  1. How long does Bing usually take to fully index and reflect metadata changes for a new domain?
  2. Are there specific technical requirements or common issues that could prevent proper indexing?
  3. Is there any additional configuration recommended for business websites to improve visibility in Bing search?

Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.

    1. Indexing Time: Bing typically completes indexing within a few minutes to an hour after a request is made. However, it can take longer for new domains to fully appear in search results, especially if they are newly launched.
    2. Technical Requirements and Common Issues: Ensure that your sitemap is correctly formatted and accessible. Common issues that may prevent proper indexing include incorrect robots.txt settings, missing or incorrect metadata, or issues with site structure that may hinder crawlers. It's also important to check that your site does not have any blocking rules in the robots.txt file, which you've already confirmed.
    3. Additional Configuration Recommendations: To improve visibility in Bing, consider the following best practices:
      • Ensure that your metadata (title and description) accurately reflects the content of your pages and is optimized for relevant keywords.
      • Utilize Bing Webmaster Tools to monitor your site's performance and receive insights on potential issues.
      • Regularly update your content to keep it fresh and relevant, which can encourage more frequent indexing by search engines.
      • Consider submitting your sitemap to Bing and other search engines to facilitate better indexing.

Following these practices can help enhance your site's visibility in Bing search results.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

Please check through this Bing Support page to learn more about site indexing and what could be preventing it from happening in a timely manner https://www.bing.com/webmasters/help/why-is-my-site-not-in-the-index-2141dfab.

If you still have trouble though you should using the Bing Webmaster Tools to get more support for your site. They would be better suited to check and let you know if there are issues.
