How to disable ClipChamp from uploading files to OneDrive

On December 11, 2025 ClipChamp updated to automatically upload videos to OneDrive.

How can I disable ClipChamp from automatically uploading files to OneDrive?

I tried toggling it off using this icon, but restarting ClipChamp auto re-enables it. It also keeps creating an unwanted "Videos" file in my OneDrive.

Please allow users to choose their own settings instead of forcing unwanted features on them.

Same question. I do not want videos auto saving on onedrive. I do not want my finite space on onedrive clogged up with videos. I want my videos on my laptop where they belong. They are zero use to me on Onedrive. Forcing me to use storage that I then have to pay extra for is borderline fraudulent.
I will now look for a different video editor.

Is there an option to deintegrate it with OneDrive?

I like ClipChamp but I don't want to use it if it's going to continually upload everything I do to cloud storage, as that requries me to go in later and delete those files from my cloud.

I don't need Microsoft to hold my hand and ensure my files are backed up. I take full responsibility for files lost due to my poor management of my local files.

Excuse my informal answer, this message is to Microsoft. Another poor decision about "not forcing users uploading their video to a Cloud without their approval". "Conditions and terms bla bla-" exact reason to lose more users. Another reason piled up on "not to use outlook/Microsoft" related products. Wink to Linux, freedom and privacy never felt so tempting after all this time I refused to switch...

I will now no longer use clipchamp for my video editing, as this is a heavy handed approach to storage, and without the option to change where my stuff gets saved withing the program and leaving the setting off by default forces me to us a competitors product.

Awesome. I don't use OneDrive and never will. So because you "don't want me to lose my files" I can't have them point blank period in the first place. How would me saving my files to my own drive risk me losing my files? Why would you not just give the option to upload to your own drive OR OneDrive? This is beyond absurd. I can't believe you guys did this. I cannot use ClipChamp anymore. You've taken it away from me. So what's next? The calculator? Will I need OneDrive to use the calculator? Notepad? When will you stop? There is ZERO logical reasoning behind this decision. The ONLY thing this has done is disable the app for people who don't use OneDrive and forces anyone who wants to use it but doesn't have OneDrive to now get OneDrive (pay for it, money). This is objectively about money. You could already save your files to OneDrive before, but you could also save to your own drive. How is disabling the option where you can't save them on your own drive meant to be helpful? You could already save them to OneDrive, all you did was remove additional options and disable the app for people who used those additional options. This is obscene behavior Microsoft. You guys are heinous for this decision. Seriously this is sickening greed. I really can't believe you guys really did this. Just wow.

I think it's better for the environment to have the option to 'not to save to the cloud', can you let me know your opinion on that?
