I cannot re-activate office 2024 license becasue the system is saying that the key is no more valid. It happens because the operative system on my laptop needed to bere-installed by Dell so I didn't had the chance to de-activated the license. Now the laptop is the same but I cannot activate the product.

When you first activated Office that licence should have become associated to your Microsoft Account as a digital licence online and it is from there that you can re-install Office without the need for a product key:

With recent versions of Office, it isn't possible to reuse the product key. After it has been redeemed into a Microsoft account, the account replaces the key.

Note that if Office was preinstalled by the computer manufacturer, Dell in this case, you have to find out via Dell support how to proceed.

To resolve the issue with activating your Office 2024 license, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check the Activation Key: Ensure that the key you are using is indeed valid and corresponds to the version of Office you are trying to activate. If you have a different version installed, it may cause activation issues.
    2. Use the ospp.vbs Script: You can run the ospp.vbs script to help with activation. This script is located in the Office installation directory. You can use the command ospp.vbs /act to attempt to activate Office manually. If it fails, it will provide an error code that can help diagnose the issue further.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If the key is still reported as invalid, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance. They can help you verify the status of your license and provide guidance on reactivating it.
    4. Reinstall Office: If all else fails, consider uninstalling Office using the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter, then reinstalling it to see if that resolves the activation issue.

Make sure you are using the same Windows device on which Office was originally installed, as this can affect the activation process.
