Managing external identities to enable secure access for partners, customers, and other non-employees
When using custom branding themes in a production external ID tenant, it's important to understand how these themes interact with company branding. Custom branding themes are designed to provide specific customizations for applications, while company branding applies tenant-wide. If the custom branding is not appearing as expected, it could be due to the following reasons:
- Fallback to Default Branding: If certain properties are not defined in the custom branding theme, the system will revert to the default branding. Ensure that all necessary properties are set in your custom theme.
- Limits on Custom Themes: You can create up to 5 branding themes per tenant. If you have reached this limit, you may need to modify or delete an existing theme to make room for new customizations.
- Live Preview Limitations: The live preview feature only shows changes to the layout and style of the sign-in page, and it does not include custom text overrides. This might lead to confusion if you're expecting to see text changes reflected in the preview.
- Reserved Names: Ensure that your branding theme does not use the reserved name "Default theme" as this will cause issues in applying your custom branding.
If you continue to experience issues, reviewing the specific properties defined in your custom branding theme against the requirements and limits outlined in the documentation may help resolve the problem.
