how do i factory reset my pc

If the AI's suggested solutions don't work, the best thing to do in this situation is to perform a Clean Install of Windows 10. However, you will need to find another working Windows computer from a family member or friend near you to create the Windows 10 USB Installation media.

Find another working computer then download the Media Creation tool (Click Download tool now). Use the tool to "Create installation media (USB flash drive at least 8GB in size) to install Windows 11". Instructions inside the link.

Note: Please make sure to uncheck the "Use the recommended options for this PC" box. Please check the link below for more details.

Insert the USB Installation media into your computer. Please change the boot order in the Bios Settings. Boot your PC from the Installation Media you created.

To factory reset your PC, follow these steps:

1. Access Settings: Click on Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
2. Reset this PC: Under the Reset this PC section, click on Get started.
3. Choose an Option: You will be given two options:
   • Keep my files: This option will reinstall Windows while keeping your personal files.
   • Remove everything: This option will remove all your personal files, apps, and settings, effectively preparing the PC for a new user.

If you cannot access Settings:

1. Click the power button, then hold down Shift while selecting Restart.
2. In the recovery menu, click Troubleshoot.
3. Choose either Refresh your PC or Reset your PC based on your needs.

Note that resetting the device does not return it to the original factory state. To do that, you would need to flash it with the original factory image.
