I have Publisher 2007. I have Windows 10. Several years ago I created a photos document that periodically needs to be updated in Publisher; then resaved as an Adobe PDF document. Most recently I cannot convert to Adobe PDF without losing a vast amount of my project's outer area.

For many years I never experienced the problem while my platforms were XP of Windows 7. But now with Windows 10, (I know, I'm a wee bit behind), but there still should be a solution. I can't get past the problem.

It's been suggested that I use File > Export > Create PDF/XPS rather than "print to PDF", but the 2007 version of Publisher does not offer those options that I can find.

I don't know if the problem is with Publisher 2007, Windows 10, or Adobe Acrobat? I hate to have to invest in all new equipment and software as the only time I ever use this equipment, and update the project, is when a long lost ole classmate passes away. Other than that, I use a Mac.

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

To convert your Publisher 2007 document to PDF without losing the outer edges of your project, you might want to try the following steps:

    1. Check Page Size and Margins: Ensure that your document's page size and margins are set correctly in Publisher. Sometimes, if the margins are too large, it can cause parts of your content to be cut off when exporting.
    2. Use Print to PDF: Since you mentioned that the Export option is not available in Publisher 2007, you can try using the "Print" option instead. Select "Print" and choose a PDF printer (like Microsoft Print to PDF) if available. This method can sometimes yield better results than other methods.
    3. Update Printer Settings: When printing to PDF, check the printer settings to ensure that it is set to print the entire page and not just the visible area. Look for options like "Fit to Page" or "Actual Size".
    4. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Publisher 2007 and Windows 10 are fully updated. Sometimes, compatibility issues can arise from outdated software.
    5. Consider Alternative Software: If the problem persists, you might consider using a different software solution to convert your Publisher document to PDF. There are various third-party tools available that can handle this conversion more effectively.

If none of these solutions work, it may be worth considering an upgrade to a newer version of Publisher that has improved PDF export capabilities, especially since you mentioned that you use a Mac for most of your work.
