“User profile failed to load”

So I’ve noticed recently that the audio on my laptop seems to skip and sound like static at random intervals, so I turn off my laptop. Upon turning it back on it shows a black screen with the sentence “user profile failed to load.”

And when it boots up it takes me to the default windows background with all my photos, downloads and most of my apps gone. But some of my apps and games are still there. My name also still shows up on the log in screen but my pfp is blank. It also still accepts my set password

This has happened multiple times Everytime I shut down my laptop, restarting it multiple times usually fixes it but after a day or 2 the static sound comes back. I’ve left my laptop on sleep mode instead of shutting it down at night for the last month now because of this, but I keep having to shut it down every week or so cause of the static audio getting too much and stuttering on my games. I’ve tried to look up help about this but cannot find anything.

This laptop is only a year old and I’ve been treating it pretty well, never spilled anything on it, never downloading any suspicious links. I’m not sure what could’ve caused this.

I’m on windows 11 and this is an Omen gaming laptop.

right now however, I cannot get into my laptop, it’s just sending me to the default screen with all my stuff gone and restarting it does not seem to work this time!

Please help!

Thanks

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your user profile on Windows 11, which can lead to the "user profile failed to load" error. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, simply restarting the laptop can resolve temporary glitches.
    2. Check for Corrupted User Profile: If the problem persists, it may be due to a corrupted user profile. You can create a new user account and see if the issue occurs there. To do this:
      • Boot into Safe Mode by holding the Shift key while selecting Restart from the power menu.
      • Once in Safe Mode, create a new user account via Settings > Accounts > Family & other users > Add someone else to this PC.
    3. System File Check: Run a system file check to repair any corrupted system files. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command:
         sfc /scannow

    4. Check the Registry: Sometimes, the issue can be related to the registry settings for the user profile. You may need to check the registry to ensure that the profile is set up correctly. Be cautious when editing the registry, as incorrect changes can cause further issues.
    5. Update Drivers: Since you mentioned audio issues, ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. You can do this through Device Manager.
    6. Perform a Clean Boot: If the issue continues, consider performing a clean boot to determine if a startup program is causing the problem. Instructions for a clean boot can be found on Microsoft's support site.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consider restoring your system to an earlier point or reinstalling Windows as a last resort.
